COMMUNITY

You cannot separate family from community.

Contributing to our community is a core value we hold in high regard. We actively seek opportunities to contribute and donate our knowledge, skills, and resources to those who need help, especially when they may not qualify for other assistance.

THS also understands community, at its core, is centered on the local. We strive to support local businesses using dollars and building lasting relationships with local service providers. However, we understand that while this support matters, time does too. As such, each of our employees dedicates 8 hours per quarter to their communities. These relationships are developed through semi-annual meetings where we welcome the community into our offices, learn about where we can contribute to our area, and network with community leaders to build lasting relationships.

From our friends at Randolph Elementary…

“Randolph Elementary would like to say a special thanks to Terry Shoemaker and his company (THS Construction), as well as RES parent, Carl Juran. These fine gentlemen helped to create 5 student work tables, as well as a stage area for children to use in the school courtyard. They volunteered their time to help make major changes in our outdoor learning space. Their projects are only the beginning to a series of steps that will change our bland and boring courtyard into a vibrant learning area that students of all ages can enjoy.

Literally minutes and hours after the tables were created, students were using them – whether for work or for shade! As for the stage, children were out and on it the day after completion (and even before) in the rain! As weather shaped up the following day, Mrs. Miller’s students performed a play created by one of their own for the entire 3rd grade. A few hours later, Kindergarten and third grade book buddies got together and enjoyed the stage seating as they ate popsicles and read together.

Randolph Elementary is truly blessed to have such generous parents and community members. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! Your contribution to our school will forever be remembered and enjoyed by students, faculty, and parents.”
